How to pass the interview in Slovenia
Applicants need to pass a mini-interview in Slovene and recite the oath to obtain citizenship (Potrdilo o Dr Avljanstvu). The process will take place in Upravna Enota, Ljubljana, after the Slovenian language foundation certificate has been obtained. Slovenia's oath has only three sentences, easy to remember. After taking the oath, the returnees become Slovenian citizens and can start processing European passports.
You have to rehearse before you take the oath of citizenship
How to learn The Slovenian language
To obtain Slovene citizenship, returnees aged 14 to 60 must pass a short language test to ensure that their knowledge of Slovene is at a basic A1 level. Systematic learning of the language helps to pass the test successfully. Learning Slovenian is relatively easy and quick for the citizens of CIS countries. The official language of the Republic of Slovenia is similar in many ways to Russian.
Memorizing common expressions, listening to tapes and watching educational videos are all very effective ways to learn Slovenian every day. Using a free 20-minute daily language course or a tutor will help you master the basic level of Slovenian and pass the language knowledge test.
